For this tart, I focused on creating a healthy, yet delicious dessert. It was the first time I had made this recipe so I wasn't quite sure how it would turn out, but it turned out great. I made a typical crust filled with pastry cream, topped with fresh strawberries and blackberries. Here was the recipe I used. Until next time!!
Plain sugar dough that I cut out with specific cookie cutters of elephants, treble clefs, hearts, @, and moons (which have some significance)! I made these for my boyfriend's arrival for a visit :) They were decorated with different colors of royal icing.
I made these for the holidays by simply baking and cutting out some brownies, making a buttercream to decorate the top and placing a strawberry "hat" on top!
Another holiday baking project! I made normal gingerbread cookies in the shape of snowflakes, trees and gingerbread men and decorated them with simple royal icing.
I decided to try making homemade oreos following a simple recipe, the chocolate cookies included a layer of buttercream on the inside. Eventually I want to try to make red velvet oreos because they look so yummy as well!

For my sister's last night at home before leaving for school, I made a tiramisu to accompany our Italian dinner!
I just used a basic sugar cookie recipe and dyed the dough three different colors. In order to create the pandas I layered the divided dough up into logs and layered them strategically and then rolled the entire log together in plastic wrap. The large log was allowed to sit in the freezer for an hour and then cut into smaller disks.
For my sister's birthday I decided to make birthday giraffe cookies. The giraffes were plain sugar cookies, cut into the shape of giraffes, and then decorated with royal icing.
A strange and wonderful baked good that can be described as a mix between a cookie, cake, and pie - it is a combination of two small cakes with filling in between. For this version I chose to make red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream as the filling.
Roses made from freshly picked New England Apples from an expedition to Honey Pot Hill Farms in the Boston Suburbs. The apples were cut and cooked in water in the microwave for 5 minutes so they would be tender enough to bend. The apples were then lined in a row along strips of puff pastry and dusted with cinnamon and vanilla. Finally the puff pastry was rolled up and inserted in a muffin pan and baked until golden brown.
I made this apple pie for big little week for sorority AOII (Alpha Omicron Pi). I made the pi for my little in my sorority and my sister who was visting for the weekend helped to cut out the greek letter Pi for the top of the pie.
