I baked and frosted this chocolate buttercream layer cake to use as a model for a painting I did in art class. I placed the cake on a glass cake dish and then photographed it outside for fun and then finally shared the cake with my art class when I was done.
For my grandparents' 52nd Anniversary I decided to make a vanilla layer cake decorated with coating of seafoam green frosting and blue cherry blossoms and branches.

I made this heart cake for Mother’s Day! I used a heart cake pan and baked two cake layers. I then frosted the cake and applied a layer of pink fondant to the outside for a smooth and even texture.
High School Graduation cake in the shape of a cap and diploma for my neighbor's graduation. I baked the main cake in a round pyrex bowl and covered it in chocolate frosting and then black fondant. The diploma is composed of several smaller cupcakes frosted together and covered in yellow fondant.
Cross Country (XC) cake that I made for my high school cross country team’s end of the year party. I baked vanilla cake in a transformable letter pan and then frosted the cake in green grass frosting with a special piping tip. I added a couple fondant trees and added a graham cracker running trail. I finally put all of the runners on cut out pictures taped to toothpicks scattered across the trails.
Though it doesn’t look like much from the outside, this cake had a layer of cheesecake sandwiched between two layers of red velvet cake. I frosted my sister's birthday in buttercream and piped pink frosting around the edges.
An actual carrot shaped layer cake that I made for Easter. The cake was layered and carved to look like a carrot, and I then created chocolate “leaves” for the top of the carrot. The carrot is also surrounded by chocolate chip bunny shaped whoopie pies.
Layered cake decorated with colored frosting to look like a watermelon then cut chocolate covered raisins were placed as seeds on the cake and slices of watermelon.
The layers of red velvet cake were stacked and then covered in vanilla buttercream. The cake was then sprinkled with gold sprinkles and topped with a modeling chocolate Oscar, a fondant film reel, red carpet and a popcorn container.

I volunteered to bake the initiation cake for my sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi, in the shape of our unofficial mascot, the panda. I baked a 9x13 cake and a 9 in. round and then carved it to look like a panda. I then prepared a layer of preliminary frosting and decorated it with black and white for it to look like a panda.
I made this cake for my grandfather’s birthday (he loves to fish). Cake was made out of red velvet and had white chocolate “fish bones” inside. I then covered the cake in homemade marshmallow fondant and added a marshmallow eye. The fish was then finally sprayed with an airbrush to look like a rainbow trout.
I made this cake for fun because Monet is one of my favorite impressionist painters and I have wanted to attempt it for a long time. I started with a blank canvas of a cake made out of homemade Funfetti - a base of fondant - and then painted on many different colors of frosting to give the impressionist appearance.
For my sister's graduation from high school I made a cake decorated with the logo from her future college - Duke University! I also decorated the cake with a floral pattern on the side, a reminder of the Sarah P. Duke Gardens
Over winter break I had a lot of time for baking projects! I had wanted to make a snowflake cake for awhile and I finally got the opportunity to. The snowflakes were made from piped white chocolate and were then applied to the exterior of the blue buttercream cake. In addition I added some holiday lights made from piped frosting and mike and ikes

Another summer baking project for my grandfather's birthday over Fourth of July weekend. The sardines were made out of melted chocolate that was placed in a mold that I had recently acquired in Spain! The cake itself was lighly sprayed with gray food coloring to give the appearance of metallic box.
Using a family recipe I altered it slightly to try to improve the consistency of the frosting while also focusing on the presentation of the cake for my dad's birthday!
These cakes were made for a friend who is lovingly referred to as "Grumpy Cat." They were made with simple funfetti cake and were decorated to look like the cute and grumpy animal.
This bundt cake was created with a simple vanilla cake recipe to which I added gingebread spices and some molasses to create a gingerbread flavor. The cake was then decorated with a mix of strawberries and raspberries. Finally the cake was drizzled with vanilla and chocolate glazes.
In the spirit of the holidays, I decided to make a tree forest cake. The cake was chocolate with mint green buttercream frosting. Decorated with mini-trees created using meringue cookies that I piped frosting as tree pine needles onto! For the last step I dusted the cake with a light "snow" of powdered sugar.

Inspired by the Great Wave print by Hokusai, I made this cake on a random Wednesday afternoon when I was stressed to add to the art as cake/cake as art collection!
In honor of my grandparents trip to Glacier Bay I made a glacier cake. The glacier is composed of both chocolate and vanilla cake and painted to look like the blue and white ice. The whale and the cruise ship were made out of white chocolate from molds that I made, and then painted with silver edible paint.
